How it works

  1. Fill in your shop name, return address and phone once; they stay in this browser. Then type your orders, or open or paste a CSV export and check how its columns were matched. Press Try an example to see four sample orders.

  2. Choose packing slips or a label size, and whether to show a QR code, a barcode, your return address and the items. Fix anything the checks flag, such as a PIN code that is not six digits or a cash on delivery order with no amount.

  3. Press Print. In the print window, choose the same paper size, no margins and 100% scale, and print one test page before a full batch.

About the Packing Slip and Shipping Label Maker

Type your orders, or paste or open an orders export from your shop, and print packing slips (A4, one order a page) or address labels (2, 4 or 8 to an A4 sheet, or one 4 × 6 inch or 100 × 150 mm thermal label). Each one carries the order number as a QR code and, if you like, a barcode. Before you print, the tool checks PIN codes, phone numbers, cash on delivery amounts and long address lines, and gives you a pick list of everything to pack. It runs in your browser: your shop details are saved only in this browser, and buyers' names, addresses and phone numbers are never saved or uploaded.

What it prints

Packing slips show your shop, where the parcel goes, the order number and date, how it was paid, the order value and weight, and a table of items with boxes to tick as you pack, plus your own note. Labels show the buyer's name and address with the PIN code in large print, a black band with the amount to collect for cash on delivery orders or "Prepaid: do not collect cash", the order number, date and weight, and your return address. The QR code holds only the order number, and the Code 128 barcode is drawn in your browser. The pick list adds up every item across the orders.

The checks before you print

PIN codes in India have six digits, so a PIN code with more or fewer is flagged. The other checks are our checklist: a missing phone number, cash on delivery with no amount to collect, an amount larger than the order value, address lines over 45 characters that wrap on small labels (our measure), and the shape of your GSTIN (15 characters: a State code, your PAN and three more, as CBIC describes it). Orders worth over ₹50,000 get a note on e-way bills under rule 138 of the CGST Rules. When you open a CSV export, the columns are matched by their names, so check each match before you use the orders.

What this tool cannot do

It does not book a courier, create AWB or tracking numbers, or generate e-way bills, and it never signs in to your shop, marketplace or courier account. Couriers and shipping aggregators give their own labels, which you may need as well. The label sizes divide an A4 sheet evenly; ready-made label sheets with margins may need a test print and a change of scale. A packing slip is not a tax invoice, and nothing here is tax advice; ask your CA about invoices and e-way bills.

Frequently asked questions

Can I print on a thermal label printer?

Yes. Choose "Thermal label, 4 × 6 inch" or "100 × 150 mm", whichever your rolls are, then pick the same paper size in the print window, with no margins and 100% scale. That is our suggestion; printer settings differ, so print one label first and check that nothing is cut off.

Is this the same as my courier's shipping label?

No. If you book through a courier or a shipping aggregator, its label with the AWB (tracking) number comes from them. Use these labels for parcels you send yourself, for example at the post office, and the packing slip inside any parcel.

Is a packing slip a tax invoice?

No. A packing slip lists what is in the parcel. A GST tax invoice needs the details in rule 46 of the CGST Rules, including your GSTIN, a consecutive invoice number unique for the financial year, the HSN code, the taxable value and the tax. Check an invoice with our GST Invoice Checker, and ask your CA about anything you are unsure of.

Do I need an e-way bill for a parcel?

Rule 138 of the CGST Rules asks a registered person who moves goods with a consignment value over ₹50,000, including tax, for an e-way bill, and some goods are left out. The tool flags orders worth more than ₹50,000 so you can check. Ask your courier or CA for your own case; this is not tax advice.

Are my buyers' details saved anywhere?

No. Orders you type, paste or open stay on this page and go when you close it; they are not saved or uploaded. Only your own shop details and print settings are saved, in this browser, so they are there next time. Press "Forget my shop details" to remove them.
