How to use the UPI Payment QR & Link Generator

Read what the guide says

This is the UPI Payment QR & Link Generator.

Turn your UPI ID into a payment QR code,

a link to copy and a printable counter card.

Copy your UPI ID from your UPI app (it looks like name@handle) and type it with your shop or payee name.

Or press Try an example to fill in sample details.

Leave the amount for the payer to type, or fix one amount,

and add a short note if you like.

Scan the QR code with your own UPI app to test it,

then download it or print the counter card.

It checks only the shape of a UPI ID: it cannot tell whether the ID exists or is yours.

It runs in your browser, so nothing you type is uploaded.

Try it free on this page.

Runs in your browser. Your UPI ID is not uploaded.

Who gets paid

Copy it from your UPI app. It has a name part, an "@" and your bank's or app's handle.

Goes into the link and on top of the counter card.

Counter card
QR codes for a price list (optional)

Up to 24 lines. Each line gets its own QR code with that amount and the item as the note, ready to print on one A4 sheet.

About the UPI Payment QR & Link Generator

Enter your UPI ID and shop name, and choose whether the payer types the amount or you fix it. You get a UPI payment QR code (PNG and SVG), the upi:// link to copy, a counter card or standee to print in A6 or A5, and if you like, a sheet of QR codes for a price list. It checks the shape of your UPI ID, the amount and the note. Everything runs in your browser: nothing you type is uploaded.

How it works

  1. Step 1

Copy your UPI ID from your UPI app (it looks like name@handle) and type it with your shop or payee name.

  2. Step 2

Leave the amount for the payer to type, or fix one amount, and add a short note if you like.

  3. Step 3

Scan the QR code with your own UPI app to test it, then download it or print the counter card.

What goes into the QR code

The QR code holds a upi:// payment link with your UPI ID, your name and, if you add them, an amount and a note, in rupees (INR). NPCI says you can share your UPI ID with anyone to receive payments, with no need for a bank account number or IFSC code. NPCI also describes two kinds of QR code: a static one, fixed for general use like a counter card, and a dynamic one made for each payment. This tool makes static codes.

Stay safe when you receive money

The RBI says receiving money never needs you to scan a QR code or enter a PIN. If an app asks for your UPI PIN, you are sending money, not receiving it. Fraudsters posing as buyers send a "request money" and ask the seller to approve it with the PIN; decline it. NPCI says never share your UPI PIN or OTP with anyone, and your bank's customer support will never ask for it.

What this tool cannot do

It checks only the shape of a UPI ID: it cannot tell whether the ID exists or is yours. It cannot see payments, so check the credit in your own UPI app or bank account before you hand over goods. It does not make a dynamic QR code for each bill, a merchant QR code from a bank or payment gateway, or a sound box alert. Test the code with the UPI apps your customers use before you print it.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I find my UPI ID?

Open your UPI app and look in your profile, where the app also shows your own QR code. A UPI ID has a name part, an "@" and the handle of your bank or app, for example yourname@bankhandle. NPCI says the part after the "@" is set by the app, and you can choose the part before it, such as your name or mobile number.

Should I put a fixed amount in the QR code?

Only when the price never changes, such as a ₹50 parking fee or a set thali. For a shop counter, leave the amount for the payer to type, so the customer pays what the bill says. For a few set prices, use the price list option: it makes one QR code per item, each with its own amount.

Do I need my UPI PIN to receive money?

No. The RBI says receiving money does not need a QR code scan or a PIN, and that an app asking for your PIN means you are sending money. If a "buyer" asks you to scan their code or approve a request with your PIN to get paid, decline it.

How do I know the customer has paid?

Check the credit in your own UPI app or bank account before you hand over the goods. This tool cannot see any payment, and nothing you type here is sent to us, a bank or NPCI.

Can I print the QR code on a standee or menu?

Yes. Print the A6 card or the A5 standee and choose "Save as PDF" in the print window if you want a file for a print shop, or download the SVG, which stays sharp at any size. Keep the white border around the code, and scan the printed copy with your own phone before you put it out.
