Our checklist score, not a rating from LinkedIn. Tick an item when it is done or does not apply to you; your ticks stay in this browser.
Your Page, item by item
Each item says whether its rule comes from LinkedIn Help, LinkedIn's own course on Pages, or our checklist. Checking an Instagram, Facebook or X profile too? Use the Social Media Profile Audit.

How it works
-
Open your Page's admin view on LinkedIn next to this page. Paste your Page name, tagline, overview and website if you want them checked, or try the example.
-
Go through the six groups and tick each item that is done or does not apply to you. Each item says what to do and where the rule comes from.
-
Start with the do-these-first list, then copy the to-do list for your team or print the checklist. Your ticks stay in this browser for next time.
About the LinkedIn Company Page Checklist
Go through your LinkedIn Page item by item: name and public URL, logo and cover sizes, tagline and About overview, industry, size, locations and website, the custom button, verification and Showcase Pages, admins and two-step verification, pinned and featured posts, inviting followers, analytics and your team's profiles. Each item says whether its rule comes from LinkedIn Help, LinkedIn's own course on Pages, or our checklist. Paste your tagline, overview and website to check them against the limits LinkedIn gives. You get a score (our checklist), progress for each group, a do-these-first list, and a to-do list to copy or print. Your ticks are saved in your browser, and the tool never signs in to LinkedIn.
Where the rules come from
Sizes, settings and limits come from LinkedIn Help: a 400 × 400 pixel logo and a 4200 × 700 cover up to 3 MB, a public URL that can change once in 30 days, the custom button, verification for eligible Pages, up to 25 Showcase Pages, admin roles, one pinned post and up to three featured posts, monthly invitation credits for inviting followers, and how team members link to the Page. The 120-character tagline and 2,000-character overview come from LinkedIn's own course on Pages on LinkedIn Learning.
How it differs from the profile audit
The Social Media Profile Audit checks the basics of an Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and X profile side by side. This checklist goes deeper into a LinkedIn Page only: the URL, industry, locations, a second language, verification, Showcase Pages, admin roles, follower invitations, analytics and your team's profiles. The score, the order of the do-these-first list, two super admins, a posting rhythm and the checks on the name, overview and website are our checklist.
What this tool cannot do
It does not sign in to LinkedIn, so it cannot see your Page, your admins or your followers; it only knows what you tick and paste. It cannot tell whether LinkedIn offers verification to your Page or how many invitation credits you have left. LinkedIn changes its settings and menus from time to time, so if the admin view says something different, LinkedIn is right.
Frequently asked questions
What size should a LinkedIn Page logo and cover be?
LinkedIn Help recommends a 400 × 400 pixel logo (268 × 268 at least) and a 4200 × 700 pixel cover (6:1), as PNG or JPEG up to 3 MB. The cover may be trimmed on some screens, so keep text and faces near the centre. The Social Image Cropper makes both sizes from your image.
How long can a LinkedIn Page tagline and overview be?
LinkedIn's own course on Pages gives 120 characters for the tagline and 2,000 for the About overview, and says you can add the description in another language as well. The tool counts what you paste against both limits.
How many admins should a LinkedIn Page have?
LinkedIn has super admins, who can manage admins, edit the Page and deactivate it, content admins for posts and events, and analysts for analytics. Our suggestion: at least two super admins from the business, and the smallest role that works for an agency or staff member.
Can I change my LinkedIn Page URL?
Yes. LinkedIn Help says a super admin can change it in Edit page > Page info, but not more than once in 30 days. The old URL keeps leading to your Page until another Page claims it, so update the links on your website and visiting cards.
Why don't my employees show on my Page?
LinkedIn Help says people show on a Page when they pick it from the list in the Experience section of their own profile; admins cannot add them. If someone typed the name by hand, they can edit the position and choose your Page from the list. Counts can take up to 30 days to update.
