How it works
-
Choose what you want to send and the language, and for a connection note, whether your LinkedIn account is free or Premium. Or try the example.
-
Fill in their name, their business and how you know them, and a few words about you. The messages update as you type, with anything missing shown in [square brackets].
-
Read the checks under each message, change the words so they sound like you, and copy the one you like. Then send it yourself on LinkedIn.
About the LinkedIn Connection and Message Templates
Pick what you want to send: a connection request note, a follow-up after they accept, a thank-you after a meeting, a request for a recommendation or a referral, a job or business enquiry, or a polite "no thank you". Add their name, how you know them and a few words about you, and get three messages in English, Hinglish or Hindi with your details filled in. Each one shows its character count, checked against the 200-character note limit on a free account or 300 on Premium, and our checks for habits that read as spam, such as a sales pitch in a connection note, a link, fake familiarity or a line that could go to anyone. Written templates, not AI. It runs in your browser and never signs in to LinkedIn.
The limits and rules it uses
LinkedIn Help says a free account can add a personal note to up to 5 connection requests a month, each up to 200 characters, while Premium members can add notes to as many as they like, up to 300 characters each. An InMail can have up to 200 characters in the subject and 2,000 in the body. LinkedIn's Professional Community Policies do not allow messages that are untargeted, irrelevant, obviously unwanted or repeated without need, or using invitations to send promotions to people you don't know.
How the checks work
The checks are our checklist, run on each message as you edit it: words that make a note read as a sales pitch, a link or phone number in a note, phrases such as "as discussed" or "my friend" sent to someone you have not met, lines that could go to anyone, promises such as "guaranteed results", capitals, rows of exclamation marks and gaps left in square brackets. We count letters as you see them and also check the storage count, which is higher for emoji and Hindi letters with vowel signs, because LinkedIn does not say which one it uses.
What this tool cannot do
It does not sign in to LinkedIn, send messages or invitations, see who you are connected with, or know how many personal notes you have left this month. The checks look for words and patterns, so they can miss a problem or flag a line that is fine in context. LinkedIn's own counter is final, and LinkedIn changes its limits from time to time; if the app says something different, the app is right.
Frequently asked questions
How many characters can a LinkedIn connection note have?
LinkedIn Help gives 200 characters for a note on a free account and 300 for Premium members. Free accounts can add a note to up to 5 connection requests a month; Premium members have no limit on how many. The tool checks each note against the limit for the account you pick.
Can I pitch my services in a connection request?
LinkedIn's Professional Community Policies do not allow using the invitation feature to send promotional messages to people you don't know. The tool warns when a note uses sales words such as offer, discount or price. Our suggestion: connect first, and offer help only after they reply.
What happens if someone says they don't know me?
LinkedIn Help says that when someone picks "I don't know this person" on your invitation, you cannot invite them again, and LinkedIn uses the answer to judge whether it may need to restrict the sender's account. So tell the tool how you know them, and each note opens with that.
How do I ask for a LinkedIn recommendation?
LinkedIn Help says you can ask 1st-degree connections you work or have worked with. Open their profile, choose More, then Request a recommendation, fill in your relationship and your position at the time, and paste one of the messages as the note. You can ask one person for one recommendation at a time.
Are the Hindi and Hinglish templates written by AI?
No. Every message is a fixed template in English, Hinglish or Hindi, written by us, with your details filled in, and nothing you type is sent anywhere. Type your details in the language you choose so the message reads as one language, and change the words so it sounds like you.
