About the Google SERP Preview
Type a title, description and URL to preview the result on desktop and mobile. Widths are measured in pixels, the way Google truncates. Add a target keyword to check where it appears, and get rewritten titles and descriptions that fit.
How it works
-
Step 1
Enter the page title, meta description and URL.
-
Step 2
Switch between desktop and mobile previews.
-
Step 3
Keep the most important words early, where they stay visible.
Why pixels, not characters
Google cuts titles by display width, so "WWW" uses more space than "iii". Our preview measures the text in a similar font and warns when it is likely to be cut.
Google may rewrite it
Google can show a different title or snippet if it thinks another one matches the search better. A clear, accurate title and description make that less likely.
Frequently asked questions
How long should a title be?
Roughly 50–60 characters or about 580 pixels on desktop keeps it from being cut. Put the key topic first.
How long should a meta description be?
Aim for about 120–160 characters. Google may show more or less depending on the device and search.
Is the preview exact?
It is close but not exact. Google changes layouts and may rewrite titles and snippets.
