About the Title, Meta Description and URL Slug Writer
Type your topic, brand, page type and, if you like, the place, audience, main benefit and price or offer. You get about 10 title options from fixed templates (local, offer, benefit, question, list, comparison and guide), each with its characters and approximate width in pixels, about 5 meta descriptions, and 3 URL slugs in lower case with hyphens. Titles and descriptions can be in English or Hindi, and Devanagari slugs show how they are sent in a URL. A search result preview and checks against Google's title, snippet and URL guidance come with them. It runs in your browser: nothing is uploaded, and no AI writes the options.
How it works
-
01
Type the topic as you would say it in a sentence, then your brand and page type. Add the place, audience, benefit and offer for more options.
-
02
Press Preview on any title, description or slug to see it in the search result preview. Options marked "May be cut" are wider than about 580 pixels for a title or 920 for a description.
-
03
Copy the ones that fit the page, edit the words so they sound like you, and write a different title and description for each page.
What Google asks for
Google's title guidance asks for descriptive and concise titles, no keyword stuffing, no repeated or boilerplate text across pages, and a short brand at the start or end after a hyphen, colon or pipe. Titles should use the same language and writing system as the page: Google's own example is a Hindi page with a Hindi title. There is no length limit, but title links and snippets are cut as needed to fit the device width, so the pixel widths here are our measure. Templates that would repeat a word are left out.
URL slugs and Hindi URLs
Google recommends hyphens instead of underscores, readable words rather than long ID numbers, and words in your audience's language, or transliterated words. Google treats /APPLE and /apple as different URLs, so the slugs are in lower case (our suggestion). Letters outside English, such as Devanagari, are sent percent-encoded (UTF-8): the tool shows that form under each Hindi slug. Type your own transliteration to get slugs in English letters too.
What this tool cannot do
It does not write new ideas or read your page: it fills fixed templates with your words, so some options will need editing to read naturally. Pick only titles the page lives up to. Google creates title links and snippets automatically and may show different text, so no title or description is guaranteed to appear. Pixel widths are estimates from Arial's character widths; Devanagari widths are rougher.
Frequently asked questions
How long should a title be?
Google sets no length limit: its title guidance says the title link is "truncated in Google Search results as needed, typically to fit the device width". Our measure is about 580 pixels of 20-pixel Arial for a desktop result, the same as our SERP Preview. Put the topic first and the brand last, so the useful words stay visible if the end is cut.
How long should a meta description be?
Google sets no limit on meta descriptions and truncates snippets as needed. Our measure is about 920 pixels of 14-pixel text on desktop. Google builds snippets mainly from the page content, and sometimes uses the meta description when it describes the page more accurately, so describe what is really on the page.
Should I put my brand in every title?
You can, briefly. Google suggests you brand your titles concisely, with just your site name at the start or end, separated by a hyphen, colon or pipe. The tool adds your brand where the title still fits and leaves it off where it would push the title past about 580 pixels. Your home page title is a reasonable place for a little more about the business.
Can I use Hindi in titles and URLs?
Yes. Choose Hindi as the title language for a page written in Hindi: Google asks for titles in the same language and writing system as the page. For URLs, Google suggests words in your audience's language or transliterated words. A Devanagari slug works; it is sent percent-encoded, and that longer form may appear when the link is copied or shared. Type a transliteration such as "daant safed karna" if you prefer English letters.
Will Google show the title I write?
Not always. Google creates title links automatically; the title element is the most likely source, but Google can use other text, for example when the title is in a different language or script from the page. Clear, accurate titles that describe the page are your best chance. Check the live result in Google after the page is indexed.
